anna karenina-ballet
Last week, I read an article about a new Australian ballet. Of course, it is new for us, the audience, but the first show was supposed to be some time ago, but it couldn't happen because of a pandemic. "Anna Karenina" written by Leo Tolstoy is one of the most known Russian books. Tolstoy, like most Russian writers, wrote in a specific way, with lots of details, and descriptions. That's why it is not the easiest book to read for us, but still in my opinion it is worth it. We just have to be maybe a bit older or read more to understand it and then we can appreciate how good this novel is. I like this story so I wish that I could see this ballet in Sydney. Before this show, they said“The Australian Ballet opens our heart to the victims of the war in Ukraine", because of war and the director of it is Ukrainian, so for him, this situation is very hard too. On the Internet, we can watch some shorts from this show which in my opinion are amazing. I think that it was a great idea to show this story this way.
