observation 1 "reading people"

My today's observation was reading people on the bus. At first, somebody would think "nothing special", but I find it quite interesting. Before pandemic in public, I had seen people reading but it was less than right now. I think that the most important reason for it is a lockdown. People during online work/school were spending a lot of time in front of their laptops/phones, that's why they wanted to find a new activity to do in their free time. People during it were staying at their houses, so meetings/travels and going anywhere wasn't the best idea this time. They probably wanted to do something opposite to scrolling social media or watching Netflix, that's why they started reading and they are still doing it. Now books are for people some kind of steppingstone from living online.
