love poems in long distance relationship

Today I read an article about writing love poems. In this text, the author wrote about different types of love and how writing could help us and the relationship. First of all, it was a long-distance contact. She wrote that "Song of songs" and Shakespeare's "sonnet 98" is a perfect example of it. People miss each other and poems sometimes could say more about love than normal letters. Then she wrote about losing our love of life. Them could be death or just left us, but we still remember them and sometimes miss. In the end, the author wrote that when we got a message from somebody we love we read it over and over. So this distance stays just in our head because we feel this person next to us.
In my opinion, writing a love poem is romantic, especially when we can't meet each other. It doesn't have to be a letter(but it is nice in our times), but sometimes a message one message could make our day better, like "good morning" or "I love you". Those are small things that can help relationships. But getting somebody a poem, which we wrote ourselves, in my opinion, is the best gift. It doesn't have to be as great for example as "Sonet 98" but if it comes from the heart it is already perfect.

  1. Writing letters, not to mention poems, is a skill that is being gradually forgotten and considered useless. It seems it's not entirely so.
